Manetabolism by The Mane Choice UPDATE!

Hello everyone!

It has been about 4 months since my last blog post! I didn’t intend to be MIA this long but life transitions have been happening. Now that I’ve managed to find some time, please forgive my neglect. I am back and I have lots to share. 🙂

In this post, I will tell you all about my two month trial of Manetabolism hair growth supplements.

I ordered two bottles of Manetabolism about a few months ago. There are 60 capsules per bottle as a 30 day supply, so you take two at a time. However, it took a little over two months for me to finish them because I took them only on the weekdays and skipped weekends. I skipped weekends for two reasons: first, I was cautious and wanted to avoid any reactions or side effects and secondly, I would leave the bottle in my office drawer. I found that it was better to leave the bottle at work so to remember taking them at the same time each day.

The pills were large for me to swallow at first so I would pull apart the capsule and dissolve the powder in a liquid. It didn’t have horrid taste or strong smell in my opinion, but dissolving it was a lot of work. So eventually I practiced taking the pills whole. At first I had trouble because the pill would float in the roof of my mouth. The plastic-like shell casing makes it very buoyant and hard to get down.

Pill size

Now that I’ve mastered getting the pills down, I’ll tell you about the wonders it worked!

I had zero negative side effects taking these, which I am very happy about. I’ve read about some folks getting acne and some other sorts of things but all of that missed me. P.S: I drink lots of water throughout the day, which one should, especially when taking supplements.

And let me tell you… MY HAIR GREW FAST!!! I mean, I noticed a difference in my hair length at the end of two months. I went from collar bone length to two inches more. It is said that hair grows about a half an inch per month. My hair gained two inches in two months and two weeks. However, unfortunately I had to cut the length of growth at my ends. My ends were as dry as hay and needed to go. So after two months of growth, I was back to the length I had started at. I was pretty sad about not retaining length, but I was glad that I retained hair health. I would prefer healthy hair over long, damaged hair. Either way, after noticing the growth I had in the short amount of time, I am sold!!! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on more of these supplements.

So on Black Friday, I purchased a year’s worth for a steal price of 40% off. I was worried about shipping because I had had a package stolen recently from my doorstep. However, I was pleasantly surprised that I missed the delivery and had to pick it up at my local post office with a signature and address confirmation! Registered mail, oh boy I felt special. 🙂 I certainly appreciate the extra security for this large batch order.

12-Month Supply

I recently received it in the mail and just started my first bottle yesterday. I’ve been meaning to do a length check and recheck any time I start something new, but I just put my hair in crochet braids just last weekend on December 7th so I don’t want to take it out..sorry guys. Next time. 😦

Anyhow, to sum it up about Manetabolism, these hair supplements do work, and they work very well.

Ingredients

The founder, Courtney Adeleye, is a researcher of hair anatomy and studied the science of hair growth. She is a degree holder in the scientific field and passionate about healthy hair growth, she developed this concoction. As you guys know, I do my research as well. And after researching various hair growth necessities, I found her supplement the most suitable to try over others. I believe this was the best decision for me and as a result, I don’t plan to even TRY another brand. I’m an avid customer and I recommend these supplements to all.

Single Strand Knots – Problems of a Natural Girl with Kinks and Curls

Single strand knots are in the top 10 of the most annoying things about natural hair. I could go in depth on this topic, but I’ll keep it light. Here are just a few to-the-point mentions regarding this natural hair problem.

Problems:

  • Interferes with length retention and hair health
  • Can lead to breakage and split ends
  • Causes difficulty with combing and detangling

How it can happen:

Dry hair – If your hair is dry, it is prone to knotting easily when combed.
Wash-n-go – When your hair shrinks to dry, it curls up into its curl pattern and can coil onto itself easily creating knots and tangles.

Prevention Methods worth trying:

  1. Oil Rinsing – After shampooing or cowashing, lightly to moderately saturate your hair with oil and conditioner. Then rinse.
  2. Oil Daily – If you spritz your hair with water or AVG daily, add some oil to the mix to aid in detangling and add lots of slip
  3. Wash-n-Stretch – instead of wash-n-go, try separating, detangling, and twisting your hair to dry. It will prevent the hair from curling and coiling on itself.
  4. Stretch, Seal and Protect Ends – Stretched ends are much less likely to curl up on themselves. Sealing them with an oil and/or butter helps smooth down the frizzies and flyaways. Twisting up and tucking away or other protective styles help prevent your ends from knotting on themselves also

One of the simple benefits of using oil for the prevention of single strand knots is the slippage it gives to melt tangles-to-be away and calm frizzy ends.

In my opinion,
